Post subject:  Switch from SE to Club bridles...question
Hey,

I have recently switched my Classic/SE tramp to a Club tramp where I purchased my Wave. It came with different bridles than the SE; it doesn't have the quick clip connectors on the ends. Does anyone know how I can convert the club bridles to have the same type of clip connectors as the SE? Looking for an easy fix. If I simply put connectors on the ends, it makes the bridles longer and I don't want to have to get a new adjuster for the forestay.

Any ideas?

The Club came with bridles that are stronger, but those don't "come" with a trampoline, so I a little confused.

You WANT to change to the new wires? The bridles should be the same length (5' / including the hooks on the SE). The forestay and adjuster are not changed for the club version.

I bought the Wave in an SE version...since I didn't like the SE tramp, I was told by the salesman that I had to return the SE tramp and bridles in order for him to give me the Club tramp as the Club version comes with different bridles than the SE does. The SE comes with bridles that have quick connect fittings on them....see what I'm saying?

Bridles have nothing to do with the sailing function other than they make the boat easier to assemble / dis-assemble.

The Club bridles should simply replace the SE ones... no other hardware change.

Can you lay the two types side by side to compare? I am looking at specifications and stock on hand that is coiled. They appear to be the same length Club Thimble to Thimble / SE Thimble to hook end.

Yes they are the same...but my question was....how can I put quick connects on the new bridles I have and not have to change the adjuster? If I put quick connects on the thimbles, it will make the bridle approx. 2 inches longer thus creating my problem. I know I can just detach from the adjuster instead of the quick connects but I just liked the quick connects is all.

Ahhh. Sorry. No way to add hooks and not get too long. The forestay or bridle wires would have to be shortened.

Use a quick disconnect pin on the forestay connector maybe?
