Finally got to sail today first time this season. When I was raising the sail it was very hard the last 2 feet. Was not like that last year.
What is the cure? Can I use Wax or silicon lubricant?
Please help

Which boat are you sailing? The H16 is notoriously sticky in the last 2 feet. Silicone helped me, but feeding the sail straight up into the track while raising the last bit is the real cure for the binding. Hope this helps.

If I'm impatient, the sail jams on mine for the last bit. It is the luff rope getting out of alignment going into the groove. I back it down a bit then feed the sail in carefully and straight, and it goes fine.

Depending if your boat has to be class legal, you can have a sail shop sew sail lugs on the bolt rope and they make the sail much easier to raise and lower. For pleasure sailing it works great and you can hoist and drop the sail in a heartbeat.

I am sailing a Hobie club wave.
How about soap or a non-petroleum based wax?
