I have a problem with my rudder assembly (old, or original style): On both rudders, I have lost the small, spring-loaded piston that acts to secure the locking cam device above it. As a result, the rudders will not lock in place.

Can this piston-like piece be ordered and replaced?

If my description is lacking, let me know and I'll take and post some photos.

Thanks for any help.

Kevin

sounds like you need a rudder locking kit. The spring your are referring to applies tension to a plunger while holds the cam in a locked or unlock position. You can get just the spring if your plunger is still there and in good shape. The parts will be the same as on a H17 and H18
