As I needed to replace the plungers in my old-style Wave rudder assembly, I also decided to replace the rudder cams. I got the plungers in with no problem, but I failed to take a good look at the cams before I took the old ones off. Now, I'm not sure how the cam is supposed to be oriented.

Can someone provide a description?

Thanks,
Kevin

The "hook" portion of the rudder cam will face up and back when the tiller arm is up. It will rotate down and towards the trailing edge of the rudder when locked.

The image below shows the correct orientation between the rudder casting and the cam.
