Hey Folks,
Still a lot of standing water in North Florida, and lots of flooding. All our home rain gauges only record up to 6 inches, so it is hard to know how much rain fell at home, but you can compare the pics below for an idea. We had between 20-30 inches of rain in 24 hours where we are north of Tallahassee. I took a few pics of our pond the day after where most of the runoff from around the house goes. Compare with the pond “Before Fayâ€

man, just to the west, Panama City we had only 1 inch of rain. Friday was overcast with an occasional shower. We were in the "eye" on Saturday and I had sails up at the shop so people knew we were open.

Hello Brazos,

I have been lucky in that the storms went around me. I hope Ike did not bother you too much.

I have been learning the ropes... only catch has been a flounder. I signed up for a class on Kayak Fishing. :) Friday I go fishing with Captain Kirk of Riversport Kayak, Homosassa Springs, FL. Targeting reds and trout... maybe a snook.

Later,
Mr Gumdrop

Wow Ike was strange. I left town. Went to my Moms in San Antoine. Stayed there 10 days my electric was out it was restored 30 minutes after I got back. Some people still dont have power and it has been two weeks now. My place did pretty good in the storm cant say the same for my neighbors. I will see if I can post a couple of pictures. Me and my family are ok.

Brazos,

Glad to hear that you and yours are doing fine. Ike was a bad storm.

Later,
Mr Gumdrop
