Trying to decide where to mount my transducer on my Big A. Fore or aft of Mirage Drive?

What have Adventure and other Mirage Drive yak owners experienced?

My transducer is used forward of the Mirage Drive on my Outback. It works fine there. Since I'm using a portable fishfinder I use a "wet" transducer well. Just be sure to orient your transducer facing straight down and you'll be OK.

I have my transducer in front of the drive, immediately behind the mast support. Works fine, I see no change in the display while pedaling.

I installed my FF transducer directly under my seat! (behind drive)
