I just became aware of a 2nd generation Evolve Motor. Any word on this? A Hobie Dealer gave me this information. Thanks

Dealers were provided all of the details last week.

Increased capacity from 230 to 320 watts. Increased range and runtime from 6 hrs to 8:20 at low speeds.

Added a port to allow solar panel charging / running in the near future. The solar panel is not yet finalized, but will likely cost in the $1,000 range. The panel is said to charge the battery in about 6 hours or run the system at slower speeds.

New eVolve v2 system will be available starting likely in May.

Thanks Matt!

I had heard the rumors but didn't give them much credit.

Will the dealers have any specs and pics of the solar unit before release? I am interested in the surface area and mounting requirements. As large as the PA is I still manage to run out of space and electrical storage. My HB side imager eats batteries like cookies.

I'm sure we will release info on a solar panel when it is finalized. I am told it still is going through testing in Germany.
