Kayak fishing with sharks can be fun, hairy and sometimes even scary. This clip is a collection of some of my shark encounter kayak fishing experiences (higher resolution and re-edited), including various catches as well as a seriously close brush with a great white (watch to the end to see the best part of that). Within I have included narration to help put the footage in context, so even though none of this footage is new, none of it has been seen like this

Very nice, Yakass! That is by far the best video on shark fishing from a yak that I've ever seen. Must have been quite a feeling being pursued by a Great White!

Very cool video. Please be careful. A shark can and will bite it's own tail and your hand with it. Other fish have bone structures that make it safe for the angler to hold the tail and subdue the fish. Not so with sharks. They will get your hand at the tail.

Theo, I have heard that before but am yet to see it. And I've spent a good few hours holding onto shark tails. Regardless, I'm generally pretty cautious out there (GWS encounter aside), even if it doesn't look like it.
