Drove over to Calcasieu Lake (Big Lake) in SW La this morning, in water at 6am, nice sunrise, light breeze finally, compared to high winds lately for weeks.

Fished until 11am in my Revolution, throwing a Redfish Spin around cuts/drains/current rips/etc, and finally landed two nice redfish.

I have a box of parts/upgrades that I've been wanting to field test, and the new rodholder extension worked extremely well. Kept the reel outta my feet when needed, and close to hand, much better.

Also used my homemade stakeout pvc stick, hooked to the anchor trolley, all worked very good. I keep 5ft pvc pole, capped at both ends, in a rear rod holder, and its an easy grab for depth checks, pushoffs, etc.

Nice catch ! Is that the Scotty with the gear head extender ? I installed the one without the extender on my Revo and it gets in the way of peddling. How's your set up working ?

Hi Marco, I guess that's what they call it, an extension (8" if I recall?).

I had the same problem with pedal interferance, and this extension works perfectly. I raise and lower it sometimes as needed. Lots of adjustment positions. Works very well. And matches up with all my other Scotty stuff on my other kayaks, and powerboat. Good stuff.
