Matt,

I was wondering WHEN Hobie will introduce Camo coloring in its fishing kayak line? I just sold my 2005 Outback primarily because I wanted to get away from the exposed rudder blade. Seems like I banged it on everything; I don't know how it made it through the years I owned it intact, but it did and did well, but I decided I couldn't stand the anxiety of worrying if I had totalled the rudder everytime I hit it anymore.

I have planned to get another new Outback with the new, improved, tucked-in rudder, but I would really like to get it in camo. My problem is I saw an Ocean Kayak 13' Trident like the one below and fell in love with the look:

Do you all have any plans to introduce camo into your color line, and if so, when? The Outback I sold was Ivory Dune; great kayak, very bland color. How about getting rid of Ivory Dune and replacing it with Camo similar to that above. I suspect they would really sell well.

Are there any new update plans for the Outback? I want to buy one, but the color and fishfinder/depth finder transducer location are problems for me.

Thanks!!

You will never regret buying kayaks!! They'll put peace in your mind, a song in your heart, fish on your line, and leave money in your pocket.

No plans to do a camo color at this time. We realize that camo needs vary too greatly. It's better, for serious camo use, to dress the deck with the local-foliage camo look.

We will introduce 2012 model years product in the beginning of August. We will release any details about product changes at that time.

Matt,

I totally disagree with you all on that. Camo is camo in most instances; yes, needs can be different, but having varying colors on the same kayak help a lot. Most trees, ground, and river and stream back surroundings are mottled greens, grays, and browns.
