Thinking about buying an evolve as a powering option for my "fleet" of hobies. I have a PA and 2 Revos. The PA is an awesome platform fo fishing the lakes & bays in my area (Houston / Galveston), it's nice & dry when it's cold out & has lots of storage. However, I find that its really a bear to handle when it's windy. Its also a big enough pig on land that it discourages me from reloading into my truck to find alternate fishing sites when the one I'm at proves unproductive.

I bought the Revos to extend my reach into the flats and general paddling/touring with my wife. 2 revos are also easier to transport on top of our truck when we have our Airstream in tow.

I'm thinking about getting the evolve mainly for powering the PA to extend my reach and cover more water. However, I'd really like to also be able to use it on one of the Revos when I go out on the road.

Can the evolve be installed so that it can be used on two different boats? If so, can you switch between rudder mount (revo) & mirage well mount (PA)?

Thanks

The eVolve will fit into any Hobie Mirage drive slot, however to operate it in two different yaks, you will need wiring in each yak........and the wiring is not exactly cheap(for wires).

But it can be done and is a good idea.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. I have had my eVolve for my PA for two years, next Feb. and I use it in the Gulf around High Island, Galveston, Matagorda and Corpus/PINS.
