NC South Outer Banks Advice Needed

Post subject:  NC South Outer Banks Advice Needed
Will be staying at Holden Beach NC 6/16 thru 6/23. Fished there from shore for an entire week 2 years ago & was skunked - as far as I could tell the ICW was a biological desert :cry: .

Have my boat this year and am determined to catch fish. Looking for help with launch points & advice on inshore spots in the Ocean Isle, Holden Beach, and Long Beach areas.

Fishing time & paddle distance are limited. Can't really spend a lot of time driving due to family commitments. I'm also healing a broken right foot and a bad right leg.

Any help GREATLY appreciated!

Check out Fort Fisher (sp?). It's on the north side of the Cape Fear River. I have fished there several times over the past couple of years with good success.

Where have you launched from around there? I see a boat ramp at the end of Fort Fisher Blvd near the ferry terminal...
