I have a 24' motorhome and I want to make a carrier to fit in the 2" trailer receiver to carry my Outback. I can't put it on the roof. I would need to some angle or tilt so I wouldn't exceed the 13'6" limit. It has a ladder on the right rear(passenger side) to help fasten it to. Any ideas, suggestions or plans? No commercial units that I found for this 12' length.

I think you would have to build this yourself. I am thinking a Hitch Extender- modified. I have been thinking about doing something similar (but for loading and unloading with ease off of a high Wrangler.)

The height will be your biggest issue/tilting.

I have been thinking about a "Hitch Clevis joint" as the pivot. Drill the pivot holes in the bottom of the hitch extender. You would then need to brace the angle with brackets (bolted on). I am not sure how strong this would be: Your best bet would be to take your concept over to a local welding shop and see what they can come up with.

Hope this gives you some ideas.
