In this video, there is a little plastic "deck wire mount" that is installed at around the 1:26 mark. If anyone knows whats its really called, or where I can purchase that, I would be very appreciative!

Before you screw the part in place and while the wire is routed through it, fill any void with a marine grade silicone. This will keep any water from getting below.
