PhillyJoe and I set out this morning to target sheepshead one last time and to try our hands at the Tautog bite that seems to be picking up.......

Unfortunately, we both lost our sheepies and I lost my first tog at the side of the kayak when it threw the hook as I was lifting it into the kayak. The first sheep did just like Kayak Kevin says in his DVD - it made big runs and went right for the structure. I was able to keep it out of the rocks and the pilings and fought it for close to 30 seconds before it cam unbuttoned. That fish bowed my Shimano Compre Musky rod completely in half!!
