Hi all.
I am just installing my new Lowrance 4x fish finder.
On one of the Honie Tech videos, it show a two piece scre in grommet that is screwed into the deck.

Does anyone know what this is called or where to get it?

This is the video:

you can get one from an marine supply place, but Hobie just came out with there own that they use on the pro anglers. Its called the hobie through hull wiring kit and comes in a 2 pack, for $12.99. Also the hobie ones are way better than any of the boat fittings we have been using for years, they seal up a lot better. if you look in the back of the fall 2012 parts catalog you'll find it.

thanks to both of you.

Ideally, I want to be able to transfer the fish finder and transducer between two kayaks, as I use the other kayak when I am taking out a novice. I always get the novice to use the Revolution.

Will the new part allow me to transfer it, or will I need to have a coupling lead of some sort under deck.

thanks
Tony

Both require dis assembly of the through hull seal / grommet to pull wires out.

I installed one of these wire caps on the left gunnel just a few inches ahead of the fish finder. Its a pretty elegant through-hull wiring solution, and only took 10 minutes to install.
