Daniel and Woody venture out into the night with a rental from ACK.

"Ride Along" with Daniel episode 1

Woody and Daniel venture into the night to do some bay fishing in Galveston bay. We use a Hobie Outfitter kayak for a tandem team fishing.

Blog story: .....

In Texas you look for weather windows for fishing, because in the winter months the weather can fluctuate from cold to warm to hot. This night the weather was a cool upper 60 degrees. Daniel heads over to ACK (Austin Canoe & Kayak) and asks if Woody would like to go fishing, so we decide to rent the Hobie Outfitter, a tandem kayak that is similar to the Hobie Outback, but can hold two people. The stability of the Outback is very good for that style sit on top kayak. Daniel and woody venture to Galveston bay at night for prospects of fish. The night time weather was great, we had a full moon, clear skies, and the wind in the lower digits. The air temperature at that time was in the mid 60 degrees. When we arrived at the launch location, we noticed clear waters that were calm waters, so had a good notion that this was going to be a good fishing night. We peddled the Hobie Outfitter so fast that it felt like we were in a motor boat. Upon arrival at the lights we noticed a lot of fish activity bustling the waters. The night fishing has started! Check out the video for the rest of the story!

Looked like a great way to spend a evening. I lived in Lake Jackson 30 years ago. Always had fun fishing the bay.
