Somewhere I saw what was touted as a new rectangular hatch for the Outback. Now that I'm looking for it,can't seem to find it.Is this a new part specific to the newer Outbacks? Sure would like a larger access to the boats interior.

Bob,

I may have read the same post. My 2013 Outback has four indentations that make a rectangular outline in the area of the 8" twist 'n seal hatch in front of the seat. The rectangular hatch is in the catalog but I've yet to find instructions on its replacement of the 8". Not sure if this helps.

I did find it on the Hobie Fishing facebook page. It's a tackle management system. They list all the part #'s so it can be ordered through your dealer,if they don't already have it in stock.

I believe it is the hatch that is used on the Pro Anglers. Try part no. HC 71707001
