Topsail Kayak fishing

Just purchased a new Outback and want to know if anyone fishes Topsail NC. area. Heading down this weekend and any help on reports, kayak access, areas to fish and what's biting. Staying in Surf City

I fish the Fort Fisher area a good bit but definitely not an expert of it. If I were gonna fish Topsail I would do what works for myself at FF. I like gold spoons and the Strike king lures with gold spinners. Grubs and rubber baits in general with procure shrimp scent rubbed on it. Fish the grass beds in 1-4 feet of water. Creeks and oyster beds. Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice JMFG. Fishing was slow and the tides weren't in my favor when I wanted to fish. Did a lot of exploring and picked up some knowledge for next years trip. Talked to some locals my last day there and they told me a few places to try and what to use took some notes and will try next year.
