Looking to see what everyone does with the front hatch on the Hobie Outback…I've seen the flexible tub idea and like that but am curious to know of any other ideas for storage. thanks.

You can always use a knitted nylon bag that has a nylon drawstring on the opening end to place items into.....secure the drawstring to the mast tube for easy retrial.
There are several waterproof "dry bags"....my 2010 Outback came with one P/N 71703001....again the mast tube makes it easy to tie items to.
I kept my anchor and anchor line up there in the bag it came in....etc, etc.

I made a bulkhead out of foam board from the dollar store. I got it where it covered the largest area while still fitting inside the hatch sliding in sideways then rotating into place. Once I got it right, I took 3/32 inch bass wood and cut it from the foam template. I hot glued the wood to the foam and zip tied it to the sail mast post. It will not allow anything to slide back.

No need to re-invent the wheel... just go buy one of the Hobie plastic bucket inserts!
