Hello
I recently purchased a Hobie Pro Angler 14: Year 2012
I have a Lowrance Elite 5 HSDI fish finder that I would like to mount, however I understand that the 2012 did not come with the Lowrance Ready Mount under the hull.
Because the HDI has a downscan image in order to have it function with the clearest image the transducer should be in the water.
In my Wilderness system Tarpon 120 I have the Transducer Arm, but want to avoid that (expensive, catches weeds, drag, awkward, etc).

any tips or idea how I can mount it so it is in the water, wires are out of the way etc.

I hear there is a scupper mount but dont want to risk it bumping the ground or damage it when loading and unloading the kayak.

I have mine (Lowrance 4HDI) mounted in a wetbox. I don't use the downscan that often, but it works fine.
