I have a 2015 Outback. I was looking over the seat area - specifically the hull directly under the seat - there are a couple of molded-in brass inserts - I guess it would be directly under the high-position "pedestals". What are they for? They look like they are threaded.

Have you by chance looked at your "owners manual" to see if it's identified?
It could be the spot(s) where the seat back is anchored/secured to the hull.

I just thought of another possibility for the "inserts" would be to strengthen or reinforce the spots where the aft seat frame/legs contact the hull and prevent wearing the hull material.

That is the attachment point for a brass part used to gather more plastic / strength for the adjustment steps.

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody knows if you can buy these seats separately and if they fit on a hobie adventure.

Will not fit older Hobie kayaks due to a complete re-design of the hull / seat area to accept them. Would be like trying to put a big square peg in a small round hole.
