For ten years as a serious kayak angler I have searched hard for an inexpensive live-well alternative. Last winter an article appeared in In-Fisherman about a new way to hold catch when ice fishing. Bingo! I called the designer and suggested a couple changes to make it perfect for kayakers. He listened and several of us have tested it for two months. With parallel foam float material, it will track right alongside your ride with minimal drag, velcro opening to pop catch in, and with a caribiner and cord is great for wading. 18 inches deep but with oval bottom easily holds several fish to 22 or better. On my 2015 Outback I put an eye pad and carabiner on the rear paddle rest. On my Pro Angler 12, I used parachute cord and caribiner to loop it to bottom of rail.
Named Fish-Well, it also has a convenient side zipper to dump catch. Beats stringers, ropes, and coolers by far, and rolls up for easy packing. From
