Hi, new to forum so apologies if this has already been covered? Just wondering if anyone has fitted the new mirage drive locking system onto the older Outback (2008) and whether this is something worth doing? Thanks :D

Unfortunately they are not backwards compatible.. there are inserts built into the hull to mount the Click n Go assemblies in the newer hulls which are not on your hull.

If you are wanting a new drive you can convert your old one. I upgraded my 2008. It was easy for me because I wrote a check but I've read that it is easy to change out the parts. I had some other work done at the same time so I can't remember the exact cost but I think it was less than $175 with labor and I got new shafts as well.
