Who is the best all around dealer for Hobie Fishing Kayaks. Any reviews for kayakfishingstuff and some of the other online dealers?

Heard good things about kayakfishingstuff.com

Why don't you buy it at a local dealer? This will make it easier if you have a warranty problem or want them to look at something for you.

Buy locally if at all possible, and remember those who appear to be the biggest are not always the best

Thanks guys...I've tried contacting my local dealer innumerable times and I guess they are too busy to respond....have to be in Washington DC next week....will snoop around and see what I can find there.

KFS is a very good company to deal with, AND they ship at reduced prices. I purchase many things from them inc my Revo, FF and some smaller stuff. They usually call back quickly if theyare busy. Ask for Craig. He is helpful and knowledgable. :)

...and don't get hung up on getting a fishing version, if you are half-way handy, you can make most of the mods you will need yourself. This site and others are a great resource of tips and info to "pimp" your ride
You'll save a bundle too.

boats for 2008 will all be the same, no longer rec kayaks and angler kayaks. Buy a 2007 rec kayak and save some cash.

If you are on outer banks and come thru Va Bch you might try Wild River Outfitters. They are a Hobie dealer but don't handle the fishing model. No difference but colors.

Post subject:  On line purchase?

I bought my OB from kayakfishingstuff.com back in 04' They had the best price I was able to find for my OB at the time. They are located WAY back east (NJ)from me, so my yak had to shipped to San Francisco, (that was $75 extra I had a little concern about the hull traveling that far, but it was fine.) but even with that shipping charge, the deal I got from them was still cheaper that buying in state, local.
As far as ease of (Any) warranty issues that may come up, local dealers can still deal with Hobie yaks not purchased from them. Some may gripe about it, and choose not to help you. Go else where!

Those guys treated me fine, I can't imagin why they wouldn't do the same for you.
