here is my partner mike battleing a big one. we fight the fish off the back off the hobie AI. we also steer like this and furl the sail down. they sometimes will try to run all around the boat but if you pay attention you can steer away from them. and keep them off the back of the boat away from the sail mast. one time i had to pass the rod around the mast just when the fish decided to run, I almost lost my killer set up. if any one wants to come fish hawaii this winter. the waters warm the air is hot. you can where shorts and maybe catch something really big. there are still a lot of kayak fish records to break. for anyone wishing to kayak fish hawaii get in touch with us at
