Thanks Walter, maybe you can visit sometime.

Looks like you have it pretty nice in Portugal. Those are some nice sized bass and what are the other ones; muskellunge or pickerel? Good fighting fish all the way around.
I have friends in Portugal and Spain(near Bilbao), but they are either surfers or bicycle riders. Glad to see that kayak fishing is popular there as well.

I look forward to more of your photos, I wouldn't mind visiting your part of the world.

Thanks for the invite, Ronbo.

One day I will be able to accept willingly

The Black-Bass that my friend John picked up, had 2,670 kg.

The dam is in spain and many large fish, "Black-Bass - Micropterus salmoides" and "pick - Esox-Lucios"

Before buying ProAngler, had an X-Factor's MalibuKayaks, with which I caught good fish there.

When powers gives a look here.

The first day of summer turned out to be pretty nice.

Image

Fishing was average, but the scenery was great.

Hopefully, the warm weather will melt the last of the snow and we can get to the high country lakes next week.
More photos on my blog.

Come and visit sometime. Head west, turn north and ask for kayak fishermen...

Ronbo,

I live in Camas, WA and just got a new TI a couple of months ago. I've fished a few WA lakes and am hoping to hook up (pun intended) with some other locals to get some tips on kayak fishing in our area. I like to fly fish for bass but I'm open to pretty much anything freshwater (not Whitewater!) at this time.

I'm in Hawaii this week but would love to get together after that if you're willing.

Plenty of lakes within driving distance of Camas. There are some really good places to fly fish for trout. Check out Goose Lake below:

Post subject:  Remembering Northwestern Lake

Recently, the Condit Dam on the White Salmon River was breached and will be removed to allow salmon and steelhead to swim upstream to spawn.
That's a good thing in the long run, but in the process, Northwestern Lake, the lake created when the dam was built, ceased to exist. Northwestern Lake was a great place for kayak fishing, sorry to see it go.

All that's left of Northwestern Lake are memories.

It has been another long, cold and wet spring here in the Pacific Northwest, but it looks like nicer weather is almost here, so it's time to get fishing.

Image

I think we'll head out next week to look for some trout and maybe those elusive, but large, Washington State walleye.

I'm from Costa Rica, and you always hear people say: "wow that is paradise", but ready the American PNW is heave to me, those pictures prove it.

Yes Dan, this is a special place. The summers are the best anywhere; sunny, warm but not too hot and humid with long days. However, the winters are long, gray, wet and dreary. Just like everywhere else, there's good and bad sides to it.
By the way, I've been to Costa Rica; it was one of the nicest places I've ever been, very friendly people.

Hey! Nice blog - I live in the PNW and do a ton of riding too (more on the touring / long distance / ocean side of things).

Summers here are pretty much aces, though I am often out in storms too.
