I've posted pics of a few elsewhere. Thought the fish merited it's own thread. Here's my latest. I'm sure someone can top it. This one is only 25 lbs. |

Aaaaah, PLAMONG, much loved eating fish in Thailand! reputed by local fishermen to be an absolute MULE to haul up out of the deep....took me 20 minutes just to bring up a 4 kilo Trevally and I was convinced it was going to be at least 8 kilos.....God knows what an 11 kilo trevally would feel like!!!......Hey, who knows, maybe I will catch one this afternoon havent had so much as a single bite in weeks...thats portentous it means the monster is just lurking out there waiting for me increasing in size each day I return empty handed! |

Here's how to filet 'em. http://ulua-fishing.com/how_to/fillet.html I posted this one elsewhere awhile back. It's not a black ulua which has a more depressed brow. But this is cranes lugubris See second pic. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl= ... tAPqioD3AQ Philip is right about being a mule. They just go down and swallow a bag of cement. Tough to get up. |

Janey Mac Dan.....now that's a fish. How in the name of God did you haul that guy into the yak?. Would it not eat you or the yak? Can you eat that one? Wow...that's a lot of eating. I'm gonna have to re examine my whole approach to this fishing ....set my sights a little higher. Wonderful.....well done! |

The AI is good at trolling lures besides bait. This guy hit in deep water over a drop off of 300-500 ftahoms. Suprised he wasn't over the shallow portion. The double hooks make an easier C&R than triples. |
