Canon EOS 20D with 10-22mm EF-S lens in a waterproof housing. It's a great camera. |

Nice photos, Ronbo. The camera on a boom provides a great perspective to the shots. What time of day and what tides were you hittin' them? Anything else caught besides the SBB's? |

Incoming tide is first choice, the bigger the better. Most of the action Sunday was on a big outgoing tide. Gotta have some kind of tide movement. At slack tide, the bite almost always goes dead. I think early morning is best. One of the other regulars out that day caught a bunch of halibut, including a 23" keeper on 8lb. test line(I was using 10lb.). This time of year it's pretty much spotties and halibut with an occasional sand bass. The ocean fishing won't come alive until the water gets a little warmer in a couple, three weeks(I hope). |
