57.3 lb White Sea Bass landed on a Hobie Outback. This was caught off La Jolla, California Friday April 7th.

Now, that's a fish! Great job. Any info on how long it took to boat it from the OB--I'll bet it was quite a ride!!

After I looked at the pic again, I noticed a few inconsistencies. Such as no Mirage Drive in place, and no rod and reel. Looks like there was a paddle in the port bungee, however. Hey, if I had caught a fish like that from a yak, I would have posed in the OB nekkid (well maybe not quite that far!) with the dadgum fish. :mrgreen: Will be interested to hear all the details as they come out.

This was for real - I saw another photo of him just after he landed. This guy is fishing HARD in San Diego with jigs he makes himself (jimi jigs) and this fish was a long time coming.
