Another good day fishing in NW FLorida. We sailed out to the bridge with the AI, took the mast down, and started hooking up. We ended up with a slot sized Redfish and a Black Drum this afternoon after several broke off.

27" Black Drum that really doesn't want to be on the surface at all.

Finally giving up the fight....

I decided to try towing my fishing buddy behind my AI in order to get him out farther after reading of others doing it on this forum. Worked like a charm. Here we are coming back in.

I always loved my Adventure Island for sailing but now that I'm fishing from it I'm starting to realize it's true potential. I'm catching more fish (and bigger fish) than I ever did on a power boat.

What is a good time to start the bass fishing season? I want to start bass fishing this year, but I'm not sure what's the best time to start. When I started last year, my results wre varied form trip to trip. Some days were really good, others were like fishing in the dead of winter. I just want to start at the right time. A good time would also include a time where I won't be cold, I cannot stand even the slightest cold.
