I posted this with my older username OntarioNeil that I used to use in the KFS days, I now go by YakDreams ..just waiting for my new account name to be activated.

I caught these in my Quest, since seeing all those Mirage drive boats in action at J-bay I'll be upgrading ....soon I hope (anyone got a used Adventure or Revo in the GTA?)

With the experience I've had the last couple years I'm hoping to get alot more salmon this fall.

I am just getting into this forum, and realize this is an old post. I fish near Dauphin Island, AL...but am planning a trip to Lake Superior. Any special fishing considerations on the lake like down riggers etc...? I plan on catching some great fish and then visiting the sea caves near the Apostle Islands.

Be very aware of the weather! Lake Superior is like an Ocean in that the winds can pick up and you could be dealing with some very dangerous weather conditions. The north shore in particular has very few safe landing spots, so also keep that in mind. Finally, the Lake is the coldest of the Great Lakes. It's very deep, and stays very cold all year round. Dress appropriately.

I haven't googled where you'll be, but I've done a road tour circumnavigating the lake, and what I've said above is the advice that anyone near there will tell you. The flip side is that, especially the north shore of lake superior is BEAUTIFUL. So be safe, and have fun. Bring a camera!
