The ocean was lumpy and bumpy, very windy and rainy. Still, never give up because the fish don't know what the weather is like. Got the biggest fish on my Quest today as well as the largest bass of the year. All by 10:30AM.

See you out there

Congrats on the fine Yeller, Ronbo! That checker is a Dandy too. I'm guessing you were fishing off La Jolla, right?

Yes. It's been kind of a zoo out there, but it's the peak of summer, so it's pretty much par for the course. If you can go during the week and get there very early, it's the way to go.
Probably the best day of fishing there so far this season. Besides the fish in the photos, I got a bunch of bonito, barracuda and more bass. Some squashed and chewed up bait that didn't connect as well. The conditions were pretty sketchy, but the fishing was great.
