I've been studying out sailing kayaks a bit, and I think for my situation, the Sport version makes the most sense for me. I'm wondering about it's length and beam width. Glad that it's light (for ease of moving around), but I wonder how that broad beam and short length do to speed of travel. I know you can't know the feel until you try something in the water, but just wondering how the Mirage Sport handles under foot power and under sail. Thanks for your thoughts.

Never sailed my sport when I had it, but if you want to try to keep the weight of your kayak down, try the Revo11. In comparing the two, the Revo pedaled and paddled better (faster) the weight difference was not much, and the weight capacity on the Revo11 is much better. The Revo (really all of them) sail very well. Good luck on purchase and try to do a demo day at your local dealer so you can try different models before you commit.
