As much as I like the Spring Creek setup, I can't see spending $400 for them with powdercoating and shipping. If they were $100 cheaper, I'd pop for a set. I went for the Hobie Sidekicks instead. 15% off for Facebook users at Austin Canoe & Kayak and free shipping. Well worth the $132. If I don't like them, I can always sell them to a yak fisherman for $100.

Hmm, those floats look just the thing. I'm pretty sure they can be adapted to use the sidekick cross-members. The original SC version looks a little bit agricultural  I'm currently looking into getting a couple of the floats only - shipping to Australia may be the be problem though! I'll be using the original Hobie hull-clamps (for the sidekick cross-members), and getting some custom (heavier gauge tubing) than the Hobie side-kick crossbars. If I can't get the Spring Creek floats, then I have a few home-brew designs that should work. Cheers, Mike. |

I've been using the Spring Creek stabilizers with my Oasis for months. They are a little pricey but work great and worth the money! I keep them about 3 inches above water so they don't cause any drag when moving. They may look small in the photo but they are 4 foot long which is more than enough for a big boat like the Oasis.

Not sure how "rough" you mean, but seems like it would be hard to do. It's not impossible, but you'd probably fall off the boat or break the outriggers before capsizing. I haven't done it, but then again, I don't go kayaking when the water is rough. I use them mainly when I go fishing with someone who's not used to being on a kayak. It also helps a lot when standing or when unexpected wakes catch me off guard, and of course sailing. |

| Thank you very much for your answer, Ricky. I wish order only stabilizers at the moment. I don't know if Spring Creek sell only stabilizers and ship in Europe. I hope it.
