BTW, welcome to the site-forgot that earlier. Yeah-several folks have rigged trolling motors to other yaks, but, surprisingly, they do not beat the speed of the Mirage Drive. In fact, they are about the same. Of course, the big advantage of the trolling motor is that it does not get tired during a long trip!

With regard to your question about the white cooler (Igloo 25 quart), see my earlier post in the Hobie Kayak Fishing Forum on "Ice Chest and Storage Options for the Outback and Others". The rest of my answer to your cooler question was getting so long (with pics) that I set it up as a separate post in the Open Forum-Kayaking. Check there also.

Right on, but Hobie has corrected that slip with the new Outfitter that is basically their Outback built for two. Rigged for pedaling, paddling, sailing, fishing, or whatever. Check out the pics.

Note the mast opening (with attached cover) amidships just behind the forward seat. Should be able to sail with two comfortably.
