I have the new Hobie Adventure hull and I bought the sidekick to keep it stable when sailing. According to the generic directions, it should be mounted directly behind the seat. The rudder control is just behind the seat on the Adventure. Just behind that are 2 screws that appear to important to the boat's hull, so we are unsure of where to mount it. Could someone who has the Sidekick mounted on their Hobie Adventure email me a picture showing where they mounted it or just describe where they did it? Thanks

My email is [email protected]

hey Jerry,

Hobie has a kit specific to the adventure hull and sidekick ama kit.

72062061 - sidekick adp plates

those two important screws behind the seat are normally used to mount the ama system for the adventure island. in your case you would mout the sidekick adaptor plates where those two screws are (on both sides) then mount the sidekick ama kit to the adaptor plates. very simple and fast complete. i would suggest using loc-tite to keep things from coming loose later on.
