Post subject:  Side Kick crossbar - holes not aligned?

I just bought the side kick AMA kit for my Revo. Before I installed it, I thoroughly looked at all the pieces and read the instructions. Good thing I did, because I noticed that the 3 holes are not aligned, looking down the length of the crossbar.
For instance, when the arms/floats are attached to the crossbar, one float is angled forward and the other is angled backwards - the arms are both in the same holes (for example the center holes).
Is it supposed to be this way?
Also, I cannot get one of the arms off the crossbar - even my strong neighbor cannot get it off the crossbar! It should not be this difficult, as you're supposed to be able to adjust the arms while on the kayak, to adjust the float height.
Anyone else have this problem? Do I have a defective crossbar?

See your dealer. They can file a warranty claim. I suspect a mis-drilled and possibly dented tube end.
