Hi, I can get a great deal on a friend's used Mirage Classic, i was wondering if anyone out there has drilled into the hull deck and qlued in a mast instert? Also, I do a little aluminum welding , maybe i could weld up a V-shaped braket that will spread the load out over the hull deck. Anyone try something like this?

Thanks :D
Phil

Hi Phil and welcome to the forum.

I haven't heard of this being done, but can tell you the Classic is a great machine -- I had one for 5 years before switching to the Adventure.

Your idea for the mast insert sounds intriguing -- keep us posted! 8)
