I have spent a while rigging out the Hobie Revolution 11 for sailing. Including a rudder upgrade (TI), a DIY gizmo for furling/unfurling the sail and AMA sidekicks.

I thought I would write the whole thing up in the hope that it might help other people. I have tried to include many hints, improveents and pitfalls not included in the standard instructions.

Enjoy !

Good going Dizzy!

I am interested in your furling device & will take a closer look in due course - i sail an AI hull-only and it has roller furling courtesy of an adapter i made to allow the AI mastbase to accept the smaller sail's mast but i have yet to implement a roller furling solution for my other Hobie (an Adventure).

As an expat Pom i am impressed with your photos of Poole harbour. I am not familiar with the place being from the NE originally but I saw it featured on a rebroadcast of Coast recently & thought it looked the ideal place for kayak sailing due to the expanse of relatively protected water and shallow depth.

Also I see you have a livewell on your boat - what do you fish for and where?
