This needs to be prefaced with the information that I've never sailed in my life, don't know a jib from a boom or how to batten down some hatches. Ron Lane (Fastlane Sailing in San Diego) told me I didn't need to know any of that before jumping in the Islander so I took his word for it.

IT WAS AWESOME

I had a blast and it really was easy. If I got stuck simply pedaling out of trouble was a snap and we were back in action. It was fast, easy and more fun that it should have been considering I wasn't fishing at the time. :D

No fair  . I'm envious, and can't wait to get delivery of my new Island.

Both my son and my wife have tried the Adventure also, and want to get a couple more Islands so that we can race! But I think we'll have to make do with racing the Island and the Getaway, which will be interesting.
