I have a sail for the I12S inflatable kayak. The shaft on the inflatable sail is smaller in diameter than the standard one on the hard shell kayaks. I’m planning on selling my inflatable and getting a Passport. I’m hoping to adapt the sail from the inflatable to the passport. Any thoughts or suggestions?

It should work fine. You just don't need the lines to hold it up.

The biggest difference is we add a web strap to tie the lines to. Mast is 4 piece, but basically the same otherwise.

Matt is correct. The mast diameter is identical. I was in the same situation as you. My i12s had a bad blowout so I replaced it with the Revolution 11. I swapped over the inflatable series sailkit with no problem. It fit perfectly. All I did was remove the three lines that act as a forestay and shrouds. In fact I wouldn't want the standard sailkit for a hard shell kayak. The i-series mast with 4 segments is much easier to stow and more than strong enough for the conditions a Hobie can sail in. With the 4 piece mast I can stow the entire rig plus the sidekicks in the forward compartment with room to spare.

I have been sailing my Passport with the sail for the I12S for a few months now. No problems. The furler is a great addition.
