Tis a bit of a tale I venture to say
Went out for a sail; just came out to play

Image

The journey begins, heading up to the dam
where an onslaught of winds put me into a jamb

Image

With no one around the wind started to wail
Is made such a sound; there was no one to hail

Image

The water turned black, darker than soot
It's too late to tack; Hodgee's* afoot!

Image

It turned colder, not hotter, the sun held at bay
Wind dancing on water, burst out into spray

Image

Perhaps you'd agree the main was abending
I headed alee; prayed landfall was pending...

Image

Land finally arrived; it was quite a drencher
But glad I survived my Adventure adventure!

Great post Roadrunner,
Nice pics but better verse.
What speeds did you sail?
What distance did you traverse?

Under sail, 6.4; not a click more.
Combined, 7.7; good, but not heaven.
Average of 4.6 -- not bad for kicks!
Traveled 9.2; couple hours then through.
This rhyming's not easy, it's making me queasy! :?

Haven't tried it yet, but it might be an even better way to get some decent still frames. My biggest concern is running out of memory, then having the really neat stuff happen! Will have to experiment a bit with it. 8)

Hey RR,
Nice pics--and the verse ain't bad either! I was going to try to match your verse in my reply, but finally decided I will stick with the pics only!
