Got my revolution 13 out on North Biscayne Bay yesterday winds 10 - 20 knots moderate chop.
The furler worked flawlessly. I did use me sidekicks at high setting and a good thing because some gusts were a bit stiff. Sadly jcanracer turtled without amas and got a bent mast as a result. His furler on the revo 11 was not working quite right.

TIP: twist the sail bungee twice forming 3 hoops. Insert the mast through bottom hoop, middle hoop, top hoop in an over under fashion, then into mast sleeve then clip on to the furler hook.
This tightens the mast sleeve onto the mast and makes the furler work much better and less chance of slipping.

I had a blast sailing and cannot wait to go again. Next time will try some trolling.

jcanracer,

Had I known you lost your hat too I would have circled a bit more and tried to find it for you. Sorry.

I have video capability on my WP digital camera but needed a third hand to hold it. Between the rudder and the main sheet my hands were busy.

I do have a cheap HD video camera I have yet to try and need some way to mount it. I am probably just going to do a hat brim mount to start with. It does not have a remote control. I will have it with me next time for sure.

A great day joining you for fishing and sailing.

Hat brim mount is easy to fabricate if you have a cap you want to wear in public anymore :D
I have my camera mounted on an extensible painter's pole and I put that in one of the rod holders. Others online use a cheap camera monopod and affix that to the kayak by either ram mount or also in a rod holder.
