Anyone tried these?

The spiel shows them sailing and claim they provide lateral resistance obviating the use of a DB and have upwind capability.
Dunno if it's true or not, I like the AMA but the AKA looks a bit light.

This guy had the large ones, but I don't know how much sailing time he had with them: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=50550
I really liked his idea of a Frankenstein Revo13 "Island"

I hear ya, when I bought my AI I thought I didn't need my Revo 13 anymore and sold it, regretted it ever since..
The AI is especially good for kayak camps or holidays where you can leave it setup for a week ready to use.
But with age and poor health I find it a task to setup/breakdown for our Bi-weekly paddle of only 3 hours.
to just use the Adventure I have to get the whole trailer out of the tiny shed, (with the SUV or it will roll away down the hill), disconnect the AMA's and Sheets, skull drag the Adventure off the trailer and onto the car-top, put trailer back in shed, rinse repeat when I get home.

Since I just scored a new 2015 Revo-16 with ST's for $AUD2000, $USD1555! in a dealership close-down I am looking forward to a boat Franenstein Revo that is light and quick to get in the water, and maybe some new type of AMA.

I used the same outriggers (and Hobie sail) on my 2011 Revo.
