Thanks for the update...it seems that my cables just popped out of the plastic conduit clamp attached at the rear stow compartment..lifting up.. retracted the slack...which increased the handle feel to normal...I had known of the cables running thru there just forgot. I do enjoy the AI every weekend if possible. Yesterday winds were steady and provided the best overall sailing outing yet..several sail boards and kite boards..Able to stay with the sail boards when peddling..After the wind dropped a little they had to stop...AI kept going and best... I don't fall in at most every turn. Soon I will get the wrist worn GPS...next year and keep better track.
I'am sure the speeds are the same as others have posted 10 / 11 mph being the top end of the scale. As kepnutz says remember it's a kayak not really a sail boat. The advantages are there and I would buy again.
