Is it possible to furl the hobie sail on an outback given that it has a batten? Does it work very well? How far can it be furled? Thanks in advance. Duke |

I posted a system for furling on June 6th. You do have to periodicaly replace the tape and it workes better when un-furling the sail to pul;l on the maainsheet directly were it attaches to the sail. Other than that I have been using the sytem with success for the past month |

Thanks MRL. How does the sail furl with a batten in place? Do you have to remove the batten, or does it fold up against the mast some how? Or is that not a batten I see in the pics. I've never seen a real Hobie sail yet. |

The batten will roll up with the sail. I don't have a furling system but when I want to roll up I untie the mainsheet, give the sail a few turns then make sure the batten is in line w/mast, slip a bungee around, piece of cake! |
