Post subject:  Is a Jib addition worth it ?

I recently got an i12 with the sail kit and I'm very happy with it... But the sail seems too small and I need some more excitement. Any opinions about adding a custom Jib ? For those that have done it was it worth it ? Did you get any additional speed ?

Yes it does improve sailing (at least in low wind conditions), and the way the jib was attached, it would probably work for an inflatable, as there wasn't any drilling required for rigging the sail, as long as you can use figure 9s on your shrouds.

After one test run, I wouldn't sail in low winds without it...and it wouldn't hurt to add the cleverly named boombat for downwind performance. 8)

Thanks Tracker , your earlier post got my attention. Your follow ups have been great I am waiting for your mid - high wind report before building or buying my own.
