Does anyone know what years the 20 was available with other than white hulls?

I could be wrong about this, but I don't believe the 20 was ever offered with anything but white hulls. The exception was boat number 500 which was produced for the Michigan nationals with red hulls. I would guess that boat was wrecked or parted out because I recall several years ago racing against a guy on a 20 with one white hull and one of those red hulls.

You are absolutely correct.

Boat originally had black lettering for the 500 and other script, and black non-skid. I was thinking that Hobie did two of them for additional marketing, but I don't know what number was on the other one (maybe 500 also?). That might be my old faulty memory, though. I believe this one ended up in Annapolis, where one hull was damaged in a storm. Mated up with a hull from a boat destroyed in NY harbor :-) Hybrid resides in northern VA.

I had #499; rumor had it that it was built superlight as a test bed to see how light they could get #500. It was a SHARP looking boat when it was new (I saw it at the local dealer either before or after the Nationals), but scratches show up on the red gelcoat (white underneath) :-(
