were at the lake this weekend sorting out our rocky shore storage. think we found a solution in building a platform frame that can be lowered in the water at the back end. Question came up about winching. I read the H16 and H 18 posts re winching and where to connect to the frame. Any suggestions for the H20 as to whether winching is possible? Slope is approx 25 to 30 degrees.

I would wrap a heavy line around the dolphin striker post so that it loops above and below the crossbar. Then hook your winch cable to the loop of line. This will apply even load to the dolpin striker post and crossbar. The dolphin striker post & crossbar are plenty strong to winch from, but you don't want the winch line to be only on one end of the post otherwise you can torque the crossbar.

Agree with SRM, you want the pull point to be at the highest point just below the cross bar. I would take my line loop it a few times around that point below the cross bar then knoting it on the top just under the ball.
